Where have you been?

I hope everyone is well and safe after a Memorial Day weekend. I sure did enjoy the holiday. My parents made the short trip down to Southwest Missouri and spent some time with my wife and I. It was a very enjoyable weekend. I did listen to the Sons of the Pioneers on Saturday night. Oh my, what an experience, these guys are quite the trip. If you guys need a good song to entertain your significant other, I recommend Cool Water by this group. Remember to listen the words and let yourself get caught up in the music. You will never forget this experience.

Lakers vs. Thug-etts series
This seems to be the hottest topic of conversation on everyone's mind. I do agree this has been a great series. The series has given us everything, very entertaining. However, the Thug-etts are the dirtiest team EVER and give them credit, they make no secret about it. They are a joke of a team, but they can score the ball. I wish them luck and Kenyon keep shooting, your shot is BEAUTIFUL chief! Speaking of dirty plays, I have come to the realization that no one on the Thug-etts ever fouls but Birdman. I do have much respect for the Birdman. Did you guys see his story of recovery on ESPN, a great story. I love how he plays with so much energy. He has very few skills, but his energy level is off the charts. Coach Karl never has to worry about what he is going to get out of him. Birdman's energy is contagious. Every team needs a Chris Anderson.

Add Dahntay Jones to my list of whack jobs. Come on Dahntay all your fouls were on purpose and do not try to say you did not trip Kobe, we all witnessed the foul. What a joke, just play the game. And JR Smith, what was that dance after the 3 you made late in the game? I am a phenomenal dancer, but come on I have never seen those moves. Very interesting JR.

Twitter
Why are you guys not on Twitter yet? It is where stuff goes down. The best part, following successful people. From coaches, businessmen, to authors, you can learn from the best.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 Update
The premier was A+. The show is great to watch. They are obviously having issues but the kids are funny. How about the paparazzi, climbing in trees around the creek. Unbelievable. I am not a fan of the "P-people." Do those people really tell others that is there career choice? I mean they stalk out people's houses and just hope to get one picture, that can not be fun. The show TMZ started the whole paparazzi frenzy, but come on, enough is enough. Out of respect for the Jon and Kate, I have also decided to not read any more celeb magazines. Much love to Jon & Kate. The show is on Monday's at 8:00 on TLC, I recommend you all viewing.

Another great show
Deadliest Catch is unreal. Those guys work there tails off. My question is this, "Is it worth risking your life and the time away from your family for 3-4 months to make $40,000-$50,000?" I don't know if I could do it. How about you?

Quote of the Day
"Never quit, stick with it, conquer your demons." - Mark Jackson

Shout out to former Panther Timmy Brown who was named the Head Coach at Hollister High School. Coach 'em up 20

Another shout out to Westminster Blue Jay Ty Cochran who was named JV coach and business teacher at Hancock High School. Ty text me last night and told me it could be a long season for the Fighting Cochran's. Keep it stupid simple Tyrone.

Thanks to all the troops who keep us safe here at home. Much love to all of them. Thanks for our freedom.

I am out - Coach Duds

  3. Coach Duds,

It's important that we here your take on a few other items. Firstly, what is your take on "Keeping up with the Kardashians"? I have to rank it slighty above Jon and Kate +8 and clearly above The Deadliest Catch. Reggie Bush is my idol.

Secondly, Please share your thoughts regarding soccer. How can the two best teams in the world have a combined record of 12-1-11? I look forward to your comments.
