Great news coming out of Drury Basketball offices today. First, the groundbreaking ceremonies for the O'Reilly Family Event Center were held this morning. What an exciting time for the university. My one thought was, there was a lot of money walking around the ceremony today. There were suits, ties and dress shoes worth more than what I make in a year. Many Ben Franklin's had to be in those wallets! Brad Pitt's family stepped up and donating some change to arena as well. Yes for those of you thinking already, Mrs. Brad Pitt has already been anointed camp mom of the year. We are awaiting your arrival Angelina!
Add two more recruits to the fold to complete the class. Chris Parks and Brandon Lockhart signed this morning. This are the last two pieces of the puzzle. Chris a athletic forward who likes to take long naps. Brandon is quiet and reserved, but has the handles to attack with the bounce. I think I just heard him talk, what was that Cadillac? Let us all welcome these guys to the party.
NBA thoughts
1. The Cletics are really annoying. Big Baby Davis, give me a break. Does he not look like he is about ready to cry all the time? I am not sure Kendrick Perkins can run. He like tries to act mad, with his "game faces." Rondo, the next John Stockton, dirtiest player in the league. If the NBA was paying attention, yes that was Rondo who tried to decapitate Brad Miller. The damn Celts should be watching at home. And if I see Glen Rivers run to half court and give the fist pump again, I am going to go Nintendo Wii on my TV. Grow up Glenn.
2. I have a great story on Pau Gasol. the first coaching clinic I ever went too, Coach Hubie Brown was speaking and said Gasol could not guard his headstone he had just ordered. I have learned never doubt a living legend. TRY Pau, just TRY to guard someone. He is so soft and his beard is horrible. What is that mess? Is that attractive? I can guarantee you Roger Dorn's wife is not telling him, "You are the sexiest man I have ever laid eyes on." What a great movie, Major League. "Too high, what do you mean too high, too hard, it is out of here."
3. Ron Artest, you suck on offense, PASS the ball my friend.
Shout out to my guy Jason Warncke from Westminster College was honored with Senior of the Year at graduation ceremonies last Saturday afternoon. JW is a tough nut boy, he will rip your head off.
Great Recipe
Chicken Stars Pork Chops
Really simple and easy. Get you some boneless pork chops, 2 cans of Chicken Stars noodle soup, onions and mushrooms. Throw them in crock pot and let them cook for about four hours. An easy meal for all you pork lovers.

Enjoy the weekend, more on Monday. This time last year I was rooting for Big Brown to dominate the Preakness, and he did. I still remember the call, "Big Brown barrels through Baltimore on his undefeated run toward the Triple Crown." It was great.
